Bhubaneswar, April 24: In a major push to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, Aditya Aluminium, a part of the Aditya Birla Group, has set up Mini Science Centres in five schools across Sambalpur district. The initiative aims to make science engaging and hands-on for students from grades 5 to 10.
Each centre is equipped with 80 science tools, benefiting 697 students. The company also conducted teacher training to ensure effective use of these resources.
“We want young minds to explore science in a fun and meaningful way,” said Jagannath Prasad Nayak, Unit Head, Aditya Aluminium.
Teachers and students welcomed the initiative, noting it has transformed classroom learning. Evaluations show increased student participation and better teaching outcomes.
This move is part of the group’s broader CSR efforts in Odisha, impacting over 2 lakh lives in 128 villages, with a focus on sustainable community development aligned with the UN's SDG goals.
