Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani visits Puri for Rath Yatra

Puri, June 28: Renowned industrialist and Chairman of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani, arrived in the holy city of Puri along with his family to participate in the world-famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. After landing at Bhubaneswar airport, Adani proceeded directly to Puri, where he offered prayers and had darshan of the deities aboard the chariots.

Beginning his visit with a prayer ceremony at the Gundicha Temple, Adani later participated in the sacred darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra during the Rath Yatra festivities. He also actively engaged in several service-oriented initiatives across the city.

In a notable gesture of devotion and service, Gautam Adani and his wife, Preeti Adani, joined the ISKCON kitchen in distributing meals to devotees and locals. Additionally, the Adani Group launched the ‘Prasad Seva’ initiative in Puri to support the influx of pilgrims and local communities during the festival.

The initiative, which runs from June 26 to July 8, is aimed at providing large-scale assistance to pilgrims and frontline workers during the Rath Yatra period, ensuring smooth conduct of the festival while extending humanitarian support.

Taking to social media platform X, Adani expressed his sentiments:

“By the grace of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, I have been blessed with the opportunity to visit Puri Dham and serve during the Rath Yatra. This is not just a journey, but a festival of devotion, service, and surrender. The Adani family is wholeheartedly dedicated to serving lakhs of devotees on this sacred occasion.”

Adani further stated that it was a moment of immense pride and joy for his family to serve as humble devotees in the holy land of Puri, adding, “May Mahaprabhu Jagannath’s blessings always be upon us.”
