Bhubaneswar, Aug 2: Ace Odia mountaineer Vivarani Patra called on Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday at Lok Seva Bhavan.
The Chief Minister felicitated Patra for her achievements, she clinched recently and assured her of all sort of co-operation from the government.
Wishing her the best, the Chief Minister said that Patra’s bravery is a proud privilege for the state and a great inspiration for its young generation, to bring her future dreams come true.
Worth mentioning, Vivarani is a mountaineer from the Meramundali area in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district. She climbed the Mount Stok Kangri in Leh Ladakh in 2019 and the Mount Kilmanjaro in Africa in 2023.
In 2019, she was honoured as the Abu Dhabi International Youth Leader. Patra also received many national and international awards.
She is scheduled to start her campaign to climb Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia and Europe.
