Sundargarh, Aug 8: Police on Tuesday rescued the abducted school teacher of Sundargarh district and arrested three persons in this connection.
According to the information, the teacher who has been identified as Sarbeswar Das, a teacher of Brahmanamura School under Balishankara block of Sundargarh district was abducted by some miscreants. They also made a ransom call to his wife from his phone and demanded Rs 5 Lakh for his release. A complaint in this regard was lodged by the wife of the teacher with Kinjirikela police.
However, the wife of the teacher paid them in digital mode which helped police to trace the abducted teacher.
“We have arrested three persons in connection with abducting a School teacher of Sundargarh. The police have also seized the Scorpio which was used in the kidnapping. Further investigation is on to ascertain more details in this regard”, said police.
