Bhubaneswar, Jan 3: A tragic road accident occurred at Rupali Square in Bhubaneswar, ‘Ama Bus’ rammed into an auto, leading to the death of two individuals. Several others were also injured in the accident.

According to reports, the injured were immediately rescued and rushed to the nearest medical facility for treatment.

Sources said, the horrifying accident occurred in Bhubaneswar's Rupali Chhak when a bus, reportedly in a high speed, collided with an auto rickshaw from behind. The force of the impact pushed the auto under another bus that was stationary ahead, crushing it. Tragically, the auto rickshaw driver and a female passenger were killed instantly. Eyewitnesses say that the driver of the Ama Bus fled the scene shortly after the incident.

The accident caused chaos in the busy area, with locals quickly gathering to witness the scene. Many expressed anger over the reckless driving and demanded stricter traffic enforcement. Police arrived promptly, attempting to control the crowd and prevent further escalation. A large police presence was deployed to manage the situation.

The authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident and have assured the public that appropriate measures will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
