86 new COVID-19 positive cases reported, total 1189

Bhubaneswar, May 22: As many as 86 samples tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, the health department said. Out of new 86 positive cases, 80 cases were reported from quarantine centres while five cases were local and one was reported from containment zone. The total number of COVID-19 positive cases reached 1189 in Odisha with detection of the new cases. While there are 789 active cases in the state, 393 patients have recovered from the disease. Seven people have died of the disease so far. District wise list of new positive cases detected on Thursday: Jajpur: 46 Cuttack: 11 Nayagarh: 6 Ganjam: 5 Balasore: 3 Bhadrak: 3 Keonjhar: 3 Khordha: 3 Puri: 3 Balangir: 2 Sundargarh: 1
