​​​​​​​Cuttack, June 30: The marital discord of the star couple Varsha Priyadarshini & Anubhav Mohanty, was almost silenced after the disposal of Judicial separation and the subsequent divorce petition.

However, the war between the Odia cine-stars, replayed in the news screen on Friday, as a petition filed by Anubhav was trashed by the Orissa High Court.

A bench of the Orissa High Court dismissed the petition,that was filed by Ollywood actor Anubhav Mohanty seeking ‘quash’ of a criminal case, chargesheeted against him by his ostracized wife and actress Varsha Priyadarshini.

The High Court bench in its order, pronounced that the case will continue and action will be taken as per law in accordance with the police investigation and charged framed.

Worth mentioning, the case stemmed from a complaint filed in 2020 by actress Varsha Priyadarshini, with the Purighat Police, Cuttack.

Acting on it, the Investitation Officer (IO) charge-sheeted against Anubhav and two of his aides, Sujit Dalei and Khageswar Sahu,in connection with the case. Later, the matter was taken up for hearing in a lower court.Meanwhile,

Anubhav Mohanty moved the Orissa High Court, seeking quashing of the proceedings.

Hearing the case on Friday, the court ruled that the case filed against Mohanty would continue and the subordinate corut will hear at based on the charges framed by the police.
