New Delhi, Nov 13: The Red Fort blast that shook New Delhi on Monday evening, killed at least 13 people and injured scores with its flames & fire.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) that’s probing the fierce terrorist activity, is suspecting a Turkiye link with the explosion while someone else, living abroad as its mastermind and key sponsorer.

With the frequent visit of Dr Umar Mohammad to Turkiye and his recurrent calls with a Turkiye-based handler till the eleventh hour of the Red-Fort Blast, the probing agency are smelling a vital link of the incident with Turkiye.

According to the probe, Dr Umar Mohammad was reportedly frequently visiting abroad in the name of medical training, refreshment course and orientation programmes. Meanwhile, he had established a link with a Turkiye-based handler 'Ukasa' for training on terrorism.

Apart from it, he was in constant touch with the handler on Telegram, of which the detail call record is under scanner. He was also in constant touch the Session app, sources said.

Dr Umar Mohammad, the man driving the i20 car exploded near Red Fort in Delhi on Monday evening. In March 2022, some people travelled from India to Ankara in Turkey. It is suspected that Umar, along with other accused arrested in the Faridabad terror module, also accompanied him.

There, they met with a Jaish-e-Mohammed handler and were subsequently brainwashed for spreading radicalism in India in the guise of practicing doctors.

Based on the clues, the NIA sleuths will dig out their best to crack the Turkiye link of the Red Fort blast, crafted out in India’s Capital city on Monday.
