New Delhi, Sept 23:Sanya Malhotra starrer ‘Kathal’ won the Best Hindi Feature Film in the 71st National Film Awards.
The Kathal, a story on a Jackfruit Mystery’ won Best Hindi Feature at the 71st National Film Awards, presented by the President of India Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday.
In the Kathal,ace actress Sanya Malhotra played the role of Inspector Mahima Basor that bestowed her a new recognition in the rarely scripted film.
On bagging the national award, Sanya expressed her gratitude shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos capturing special moments from the set.
The actress penned, “During the prep for Kathal I remember Yasho and I driving to Ghatigaon meeting the people who inspired him to write this story changed something in me. I still remember sitting in that car holding onto the weight of what it meant to play Mahima. I was overwhelmed, humbled and so deeply grateful.”
“Today, Kathal has won a National Award. I used to believe that with every film, my job was simple keep my head down, serve the story, serve the audience and give my heart to the work. I still believe that”, Sanya added.
