Bhubaneswar, March 7: Odisha’s homegrown Pan-Asian brand, VDumpling Dynasty, has gained national recognition.

Founders of the VDumpling Dynasty, a one-stop solution for the foodies, Lipsa Satapathy and her sister Tamasa Mishra represented the state at the 2026 edition of "She The Change," a flagship initiative by Swiggy.

Themed "From Vision to Venture," the event celebrated women entrepreneurs making an impact in India’s culinary sector. Lipsa and Tamasa duo emerged as one of only 28 winners selected from across the country.

Out of 70,000 women-led businesses registered on the platform, a network employing approximately 420,000 people nationwide, Swiggy recognized the contributions of just 28 women from the F&B industry.

Awards were presented in two distinct categories: Entrepreneur of the Year and Chef of the Year. Lipsa and Tamasa took home the "She The Change : Entrepreneur of the Year" award, receiving their felicitation directly from the Cabinet Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and Swiggy CEO & Founder, Sriharsha Majety.

The Odia girl’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2023 when they opened VDumpling Dynasty in an 80 sq. ft. shed with GI sheets and an asbestos roof in Kalinganagar. Driven by a clear vision for the brand, Lipsa left her corporate career at Deloitte in 2024 to commit entirely to scaling the business.

This growth is largely credited to their focus on culinary authenticity. The founders chose not to serve localized variations like mayo, tandoori, or malai momos. Instead, they introduced authentic hill flavors to Bhubaneswar, including traditional varieties like Jhol, Sandeko, Kothey, and Teekho. Additionally, VDumpling Dynasty became the first Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) in India to serve authentic prawn and mutton momos, bringing premium dishes like Suimai and rice paper dumplings to the local street-food segment.

As they expand nationwide, the VDumpling Dynasty is investing back into Odisha’s economy. The brand prioritizes sourcing ingredients locally to support regional vendors and is actively expanding its all-women production factory to create more employment. With operations growing to four outlets this March and over 100,000 plates served between FY25 and FY26, the company is preparing to scale its QSR model across the Eastern Indian market.

Speaking on the achievement and the road ahead, Founder of the VDumpling Dynasty Lipsa Satapathy said, "To be recognized by India's pioneering food delivery platform as one of the top 28 women-led brands nationally out of 70,000 businesses is deeply humbling. When we started in our tiny 80 sq. ft. asbestos shed, our only goal was to serve authentic food without compromising our roots. This national recognition from Shekhawat and Swiggy validates our business model. Our immediate focus now is to expand our women-led production facility here in Odisha, deepen our local sourcing, and take this proudly homegrown brand to the rest of Eastern India."
