Bhubaneswar, Aug 24: Anupam Patnaik's film 'Pratikshya' has been awarded with Best Odia Feature Film at the 69th National Film Awards ceremony at Vigyan Bhaban, New Delhi on Tuesday.
Patnaik received the award in the form of a Rajat Kamal and cash prize of Rs 1, 00,000 from President Droupadi Murmu.
Produced and directed by Anupam Patnaik, 'Pratikshya' depicts the journey of a middle-class unemployed youth whose only goal is to get a government job. Life throws a curveball at him when his father suddenly becomes ill.
The film has been inspired by a short story written by Sarala Puraskar-winning author Gaurahari Das. It stars Dipanwit Dashmohapatra, Choudhury Jayprakash Das, Barsha Patnaik, Sreela Tripathy, Roopambika Nayak, Susil Mishra, and Abakash Mishra.
