Sambalpur, March 14: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly killed her two minor daughters by throwing them into a well in a village of Sambalpur district in Odisha. The incident took place in Sargidihi village under Bamra block, triggering shock among local residents.

The deceased children are the daughters of James Madki, a resident of the village. According to reports, his wife Sanju Madki left home on Friday with the two children. However, she returned home alone after some time.

When James asked about the children, Sanju allegedly told him that she had thrown both of them into a well located in a nearby agricultural field before fleeing from the spot.

Following the revelation, James rushed to the well and, with the help of villagers, rescued the children and took them to a hospital in Govindpur. However, doctors declared both of them dead.

One of the deceased girls was six years old, while the other was just four months old.

After receiving information about the incident, Govindpur Police reached the spot and started an investigation. Further action will be taken after Mahulpali Police arrive at the scene.
