6 coaches of North East Express derail in Bihar, at least 40 critical

Patna, Oct. 11: At least 6 coaches of the North East Superfast Express derailed in Bihar late night on Wednesday.

The accident took place at Raghunathpur Railway Station in Buxar district wherein as many as 40 passengers onboard have reportedly sustained critical injuries, said sources.

As per preliminary reports, the accident took place at around 9.30 pm when the North East Express(12506)  was en-route Kamakhya in Assam from the Anand Vihar station in Delhi.

Being informed, rescue teams arrived at the accident site and rescued the injured ones who were swiftly rushed to the Buxar hospital for treatment.
