Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian today visited Puri and reviewed the progress of Srimandir Parikrama project. He directed the authorities to complete the work by December 15.
Following the instruction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Pandian visited the pilgrim town in the wee hours of Saturday and reviewed the project. Puri Collector, SP and other senior officials were also present during his visit.
He suggested planting various trees and shrubs related to Jagannath culture in the landscaping work of the Parikrama project.
During his visit, Pandian also ordered to expedite the restoration work of various mutts in the town and reviewed the work of the four doors of the shrine.
He also reviewed the progress of Jagannath Ballabh parking lot, the development of various facilities for devotees, the garden, and Sri Setu work and directed to finish the work on time.
In addition to this, he stressed on the importance of shifting various utilities from the ‘Meghanad Prachir’, completion of electricity work within the scheduled time. He directed to make adequate arrangements for parking of two-wheelers for the convenience of local people.
