Mumbai, Dec 24: After a career-defining success with “Dhurandhar”, which has now crossed ₹600 crore at the Indian box office, Ranveer Singh is taking a new direction in his film choices. Reports suggest that the actor has decided to step away from Farhan Akhtar’s highly anticipated “Don-3” and is now focusing on “Pralay”, a zombie-based film with an emotional human story at its core.

While “Don-3” had generated considerable excitement among audiences, sources say Ranveer is fully enjoying the success of “Dhurandhar”, which appears to have influenced his decision to opt out. The actor is also reportedly keen to work with directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Atlee, while avoiding repeated roles in gangster films.

Producer Jay Mehta has confirmed that shooting for “Pralay” will begin soon, following the original schedule. The film’s casting is also underway. Kiara Advani was initially signed on as the lead actress but had to step away due to pregnancy, with Kriti Sanon now stepping into the role.

With “Pralay”, Ranveer is set to explore new genres, signaling a fresh chapter in his career post-“ Dhurandhar”.
