Bhubaneswar, Jan 31: The Commissionerate Police have arrested five persons in connection with the violent clash at Jagamara under Khandagiri police limits in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday night.
According to reports, eight persons from Pandara locality in Bhubaneswar had come to a food stall at Jagamara on Tuesday night when a group of men suddenly attacked them leading to a clash. Being informed, the police immediately reached the spot and arrested five of them. The remaining persons managed to escape the area.
A thorough investigation into the incident has been initiated by the police, suspecting that the clash may be linked to past enmity.
Worth mentioning, this same group of miscreants had previously been implicated in a recent extortion (Dada Bati) case in the Baramunda area of the Smart City.
