Bengaluru,Oct 9: In a major crackdown, the Enforcement Directorate(ED) on Thursday seized gold bullion weighing 40kg, worth Rs 50.33 crore, from lockers of a Congress MLA in Karnataka.

The legislator has been identified as to K C Veerendra, from the Chitradurga Assembly constituency.

Earlier, the ED had seized assets worth Rs 103 crore in the form of approximately 21 kg of gold bars, cash, gold and silver jewellery, bank accounts, and high-end vehicles.

Total seizure in the case is more than Rs 150 crore to date, said ED.
