Bhubaneswar: The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) on Friday informed that Odisha’s promising young footballer Akashi Naik, who was recently a part of the Indian Under-17 National Team Camp, has now been shortlisted for the Indian Under-19 Women’s Team Camp being conducted in preparation for the upcoming SAFF Games.

As part of the preparations for the SAFF Games, the Indian Under-19 Women’s Team has travelled to Nepal today to continue its training camp and build-up towards the prestigious regional tournament.

Tankadhar Tripathy, President, along with Secretary Dr. Asirbad Behera and members of the Football Association of Odisha, have extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Akashi Naik for this significant achievement and wish her success in her national assignment.
