Bhubaneswar, May 26: With the end of the 3rd phase of the LS and Assembly elections in Odisha on Saturday, a phenomenal turnout of 74.45 percent of voters was recorded this time.
According to a database issued by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Odisha, an average of 74.45% of the electorates, excluding the postal votes, exercised their franchise in the six Lok Sabha segments and 42 Assembly constituencies under their limits.
Briefing the pressers CEO, Nikunja Bihari Dhal said, Sambalpur witnessed the highest voter turnout whereas Bhubaneswar recorded the lowest participation of the voters in the democratic festivity.
As per the details released by the CEO, Odisha, the voting percentage was 79.5 in Sambalpur, 78.97 in Keonjhar, 78.01 in Dhenkanal, 71.20 in Cuttack, 75.43 in Puri, and 64.49 in Bhubaneswar.
