As many as 355 Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts are currently lying vacant in 12 government medical colleges in Odisha out of 1656 approved strength.
There are 56 professors in SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack against 63 approved posts, 54 associate professors working against 106 and 219 assistant professor appointed against 236.
Similarly, seven professor, 29 associate professor and 12 assistant professor posts are lying vacant at MKCG Medical College in Berhampur.
In Burla VIMSAR (VSS Institute of Medical Science and Research), 14 professor, 27 associate professor, and 30 assistant professor posts are lying vacant.
Six professor, 11 associate professor and eight assistant professor posts are lying vacant in SLN Medical College, Koraput.
Baripada PRM Medical College has vacancy of five professor, nine associate professor and one assistant professor posts.
