New Delhi, Jan 28: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will table the Economic Survey for 2025-26 in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. The document, prepared by the Economic Division of the Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance, offers a detailed overview of the economy, highlighting key indicators for the fiscal year 2025-26 (April-March) and providing an outlook for the following year.

Alongside Sitharaman, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol will present documents related to the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA), including a statement reviewing its operations for 2024-25.

The agenda for the day includes the Question Hour, where MPs will ask questions that will be answered by the concerned ministers. Following this, members of the Union Council of Ministers will lay important papers, with Sitharaman tabling those concerning the Ministry of Finance and Mohol laying papers regarding the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

A major item on the agenda will be the formal laying of eight Bills, passed by both Houses of Parliament during the Sixth Session of the 18th Lok Sabha, which have now received the President's assent. These Bills will be laid on the table by the Secretary General of the Lok Sabha.

Additionally, the 13th Report of the Business Advisory Committee will be presented by Kiren Rijiju and Kodikunnil Suresh. The House will also address urgent public issues through Matters under Rule 377.

The Budget Session of Parliament began a day earlier and will run for 30 sittings over 65 days, concluding on April 2. There will be a recess from February 13 to March 9 for the scrutiny of Demands for Grants by Standing Committees.
