India has taken a 2-1 lead in the T20 series against Australia after the tourists sealed a 48-run win at the Gold Coast’s Carrara Oval on Thursday.

India delivered a stunning bowling display to bundle out Australia for just 119 and seal a 48-run victory in the fourth T20I in Queensland. Chasing 168, Australia collapsed dramatically, losing their last seven wickets for only 28 runs.

Earlier, after being asked to bat first, Shubman Gill led the charge with a composed 46, helping India post 167/8. Handy cameos from Axar Patel and Shivam Dube added valuable runs, while both also shone with the ball, taking two wickets apiece.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav contributed a brisk 20 off 10 balls. Washington Sundar chipped in with three late wickets to wrap up Australia’s innings.

Jasprit Bumrah claimed his 99th T20I wicket by dismissing Ben Dwarshuis (5), leaving Australia on the brink of collapse. With this commanding win, India take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series, with one game remaining.
