Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 4: The much-anticipated third instalment of Mohanlal’s Drishyam franchise has officially wrapped up filming, marking a significant milestone for the team. The makers of the film announced the completion of the shoot on Wednesday by sharing a heartwarming video from the sets, capturing the moment right after the final shot was filmed.

In the video, a standout moment features Mohanlal’s joyful reaction as director Jeethu Joseph confirms that the final shot has been approved. The clip also shows the actor sharing a heartfelt hug with producer Antony Perumbavoor and Jeethu Joseph, celebrating the successful completion of the film's shoot. The cast and crew then gathered for a small celebration on set, cutting a cake to mark the occasion.

Mohanlal, who has reprised his iconic role as Georgekutty, shared the video on his Instagram, giving fans a glimpse into the joyous moment. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 continues the gripping story of Georgekutty and his family, whose lives are turned upside down when they come under suspicion after the son of the Inspector General of Police goes missing.

The Drishyam franchise, which began in 2013, has become a cultural phenomenon, with the first film achieving massive success both in India and internationally. The movie’s popularity led to several remakes in multiple languages, including Kannada (Drishya, 2014), Telugu (Drushyam, 2014), Tamil (Papanasam, 2015), Hindi (Drishyam, 2015), and Sinhala (Dharmayuddhaya, 2017), with prominent actors like Kamal Haasan, Venkatesh, and Ajay Devgn starring in these adaptations.
