Bhubaneswar, Sept 29: The Odisha government is going to present festive bonanza for the women on the eve of this Mahasaptami.
That is, the second lot of the Subhadra assistance is all set to be released on October 9 that falls on the Sasthi, one of the key rituals of the annual Durga Puja.
Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida announced it on Sunday.
Underlining the roadmap of the Subhadra Yojna, Dy CM Parida said that the second phase of Subhadra Assistance will be directly credited to the bank accounts of tens of thousands of women beneficiaries.The eligible beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana, who are awaiting their first instalment worth Rs 5,000 under the flagship program, will receive the amount in phase 2 on October 9,
Elaborating the essence of the Subhadra Yojna that is especially designed for sake of women empowerment and their active participations in socio-economiic growth of the state, Parida said that at least 97 lakh women have registered for availing the Subhadra assistance so far, who will be benefited by the Subhadra Yoja in a phased manner.
Parida also said that the 2nd lot of assistance under the Subhadra Yojna will be kickstarted from Baripada by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on October 9. Amid a festive occasion, Majhi will felicitate two women beneficiaries while they will be receiving the Subhadra assistance.
