280 fake primary school teachers removed from service in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, August 24 : As many as 280 fake primary school teachers were removed from the service in Odisha. These teachers allegedly submitted duplicate certificates at the time of appointment, said School and Mass Education Minister Nityanand Gond in Odisha assembly.
Replying to the question asked by BJD MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain, the School and Mass Education Minister Nityanand Gond has informed that after a thorough investigation, the department has dismissed 280 primary teachers who had submitted forged documents at the time of appointment.
The minister also informed the house that allegations had been made against 474 primary teachers who had produced forged certificates for obtaining service. In this connection, the department has lodged FIR against them in the local police station, he added
It is also alleged that as many as 165 high school teachers have got appointments by producing forged education and caste certificates too. In this connection, disciplinary action has been taken against 5 duplicate teachers, the Minister said.
