Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Para Badminton Championship concluded here on today, successfully with exciting final matches across various categories, showcasing exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship by para athletes from different districts of Odisha.
 
The Men’s Doubles SL-3, SU-5 Category final witnessed a commanding performance by Deep Ranjan Bisoyee ( Sundargarh ) Kuldeep Mahakul of Sambalpur, who defeated G Dillaswar Rao & Abhijeet Pradhan of Khordha by 21–08, 21–08.In the Women’s Singles WH-1 & WH-2 Combined Category, Bhanumati Behera of Kendujhar delivered a dominant performance to defeat Anita Munda of Sambalpur in straight games with a score of 21–04, 21–07. In the Women’s Singles SU-5 Category, Rani Gardia (Sambalpur) emerged victorious against Sangeeta Ghada (Khordha), winning convincingly by 21–03, 21–04.
 
The Men’s Singles WH-1 Category saw Sudarsan Nag of Koraput overcome Abhaya Kumar Jena of Kendujhar with a scoreline of 21–03, 21–07, while in the Men’s Singles WH-2 Category, Nurul Hossain Khan of Angul defeated Santosh Kumar Behera of Koraput by 21–03, 21–05. One of the most thrilling encounters came in the Men’s Singles SL-3 Category, where Akash Ranjan Munda (Kalahandi) edged past Pujyam Mishra (Kendujhar) in a closely contested three-game match, winning 22–20, 20–22, 22–20.
 
In the Men’s Singles SL-4 Category, Deep Ranjan Bisoyee of Sundargarh staged a strong comeback to beat Kuldeep Mahakul of Sambalpur by 19–21, 21–16, 21–11.
Meanwhile, in the Men’s Singles SU-5 Category, Biswas Ranjan Panda (Nuapada) defeated Sk. Asif Zamal (Khordha) with scores of 18–21, 21–18, 21–13. The Men’s Singles SH-6 Category final witnessed a commanding performance by Badal Munda of Kendujhar, who defeated Girija Shankar Swain of Sundargarh by 21–07, 21–06.
 
The closing ceremony was graced by  Amit Kumar Nayak, Deputy Secretary, Sports & Youth Services Department,  as the Chief Guest. Among others Paralympian Markanda Reddy and Amarendra Behera Coach Para Badminton were also present.
