246 grams of brown sugar seized during special drive by Odisha Police between Jan 6 and Jan 15

Bhubaneswar, Jan 16: Odisha police have arrested 81 drug peddlers from various places and seized brown sugar weighing 246.51 grams in a special drive against narcotics and psychotropic substances. Police said that the drive was conducted between January 6 and January 15 as per the direction of the Police DG. Police said that they have also seized Rs 17.13 lakh cash, 1150 kg cannabis, 11 motorcycles and four cars in the drive. “Maximum amount of ganja was seized from the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri and Balangir while Khordha and Balasore accounted for highest seizure of brown sugar,” said a police official.
