Sambalpur, Jan 3: While newborn girl Vijayinee, who was rescued from a bore well in Odisha’s Sambalpur district after a daylong intense operation, is undergoing treatment in VSS Institute Of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR), Burla, her 21st day rituals were performed in the hospital meanwhile.
Sources said, the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) of the VIMSAR Hospital wore a festive look on the New Year Day 2024. The team of doctors and paediatricians of the SNCU along with other inmates celebrated the 21st day of Vijayini enthusiastically, Meanwhile, the paramedical staff wished fast recovery and wellbeing of the girl who was once upon a time dumped abandoned by her parents. The caring nurses named the newborn as Vijayinee, as she won life after a great battle with the death.
Worth mentioning, Vijayini was dumped in a deep bore well at the Laripalli village under the Rengali Block limit in Sambalpur on Dec. 12 who was rescued unhurt by the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and Fire Services personnel, after a tiring operation.
