Sambalpur, June 3: At least two people died while 10 others were injured after an SUV ferrying them fell off an under-construction bridge in Odisha's
Sambalpur district. The heart-wrenching incident took place near Jhankarpali (NH-55) in Bolangir.
The condition of 10 persons was stated to be critical and they were admitted to VIMSAR, Burla, as per reports. The vehicle was en route to Puri from Chhattisgarh when the incident occurred.
The exact reason for the mishap was yet to be ascertained, whether the vehicle was overloaded or the accident was caused due to the rash driving of the driver.
On being informed, firefighters and an ambulance rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
Further investigation the matter was underway.
