Jharmunda, Nov 15: At least two people were killed in a road accident near Jharmunda under Ladgaon police limits in Sundargarh district in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Kshirod Pruseth of Jarangloi Basti and Sambaru Sahu of Jharmunda village.
Sources said, the incident occurred when the two victims were on their way to Badagaon on a bicycle for some work when a car hit them killing both on the spot.
The driver of the car tried to flee the spot after the accident but locals chased the vehicle and caught it near Jagatgarh near Sundargarh.
Being informed, police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
