Bhubaneswar, Nov 13: The Orissa High Court has annulled the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Main Written Examination held on July 13, 2025, citing serious irregularities in the exam’s conduct by the agency responsible.

To maintain fairness and transparency, the Court has decided to hold a fresh Main Examination on December 7, 2025, according to an official notification. A total of 7,113 candidates, who had qualified in the Preliminary Examination conducted on May 4, 2025, will be eligible to appear for the re-exam.

The new Main Examination will take place in three sittings on December 7:

  • English Paper: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • General Awareness and Test of Reasoning: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
  • Mathematics Paper: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Candidates have been advised to visit the official website of the Orissa High Court at www.orissahighcourt.nic.in and check the Recruitment Corner for detailed information. In case of any discrepancies or errors, they may contact the Recruitment Cell at 9437498780 before 5:00 PM on December 5, 2025.

According to the notification, e-Admit Cards for the Main Examination will be available for download from 10:00 AM on November 17, 2025, until 5:00 PM on December 5, 2025.
“Any inconsistency or discrepancy in the Admit Card should be immediately reported to the Recruitment Cell of the Court over phone (9437498780) latest by 5:00 PM on December 5, 2025,” the notification added.
