12 BJP Chief Ministers to attend PM Modi's nomination filing in Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to file his nomination for a third consecutive term from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday, with twelve Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states expected to be present.

Varanasi, May 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to file his nomination for a third consecutive term from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday, with 12 Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states expected to be present.

Alongside them, numerous Union Ministers such as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah, as well as Presidents of various NDA allies, are likely to attend.

The list of anticipated attendees includes Yogi Adityanath from Uttar Pradesh, Nitish Kumar from Bihar, Pushkar Singh Dhami from Uttarakhand, Mohan Yadav from Madhya Pradesh, Vishnu Deo Sai from Chhattisgarh, Eknath Shinde from Maharashtra, Bhajan Lal Sharma from Rajasthan, Himanta Biswa Sarma from Assam, Nayab Singh Saini from Haryana, Pramod Sawant from Goa, Prem Singh Tamang from Sikkim, and Manik Saha from Tripura. Additionally, leaders from other parties like Jayant Chaudhary from Rashtriya Lok Dal, Chirag Paswan from Lok Janshakti Party, Anupriya Patel from Apna Dal (S), and Om Prakash Rajbhar from Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party are expected to be in attendance. Before filing his nomination papers, PM Modi plans to pay respects to Maa Ganga at the Dashashwamedh Ghat and possibly take a bath in the holy river. 

He will also visit the Namo Ghat and the Baba Kaal Bhairav temple to offer prayers. Following these rituals, he will proceed to the collectorate to officially file his nomination. 

A meeting with party workers at the convention center is also on the agenda. Notably, the timing of PM Modi's nomination filing coincides with Ganga Saptami, occurring under the auspicious Pushya Nakshatra, a combination attributed to planetary positioning, as explained by astrologer Pandit Rishi Dwivedi.
