Rourkela, June 21: Civil Supply officials have seized a Public Distribution System(PDS) rice laden truck at Hatibari village under Sundergarh district today. As many as 286 sacks of PDS rice have been seized from it which was being trafficked for illegal trading. At the same time, the department has sealed the storages of Purunapani and Jhaditoli gram panchayat in this connection. Sources said, a truck having fake number plate, carrying rice was passing through Hatibari village in the morning. Out of suspect, villagers detained it from which they discovered 186 sacks of PDS rice. Subsequently, they informed the Civil Supply office immediately. Acting on it, the concerned officials seized the truck and the rice.
