Deogarh, Mar 12: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed three members of his family in Gariapali village under Kundheigola police station limits in Reamal block, Deogarh district, late on Tuesday night.

The accused, identified as 52-year-old Ramesh Garia, reportedly attacked his wife Gul Garia (42), daughter-in-law, Lipi Mahakul (24), and four-year-old granddaughter Ishani Garia with a hammer around 11:30 pm. All three victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Following the attack, Ramesh Garia fled the area. The accused’s son later lodged a complaint at Kundheigola police station, prompting authorities to rush to the village and begin an investigation.

The motive behind the killings remains unclear, and police are actively working to trace and apprehend the accused. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances and reasons behind the tragic incident.
