The Indian Army is making significant strides in modernizing its high-altitude warfare capabilities. In response to the 2020 border tensions with China, the army has inducted 100 robotic mules, capable of navigating challenging terrain and assisting in logistics operations. These 'robotic mules' are designed to endure harsh weather, traverse various terrains, and even cross rivers, providing crucial support to soldiers in remote and inaccessible areas.
Additionally, the army is evaluating advanced tents designed to withstand extreme cold temperatures of up to -40 degrees Celsius, ensuring troop comfort and safety in harsh high-altitude environments. The army is also testing logistics drones to further streamline supply chains and troop movement in these challenging regions.
These technological advancements, including the robotic mules, highlight India's commitment to strengthening its military presence and operational readiness in high-altitude areas. This focus on innovation underscores the army's dedication to ensuring its soldiers have the best possible tools and equipment to protect the nation's borders, even in the harshest conditions.
