Berhampur, Oct 19: In a tragic accident, at least 10 minorr boys have been critical due to explosion while binding fire crackers.
The incident took place at the Manikapur(Nuasahi) village under the Khallikote police in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Saturday.
Sources said that as many as 10 school boys were reportedly making firecrackers in an asbestos room ahead of the Diwali. Meanwhile, an explosion took place while the gunpowder prepared for it was recklessly rubbed by some boys. As a result, all of them sustained grievous burn injuries who were rushed to the Khallikote hospital for treatment. Later, four of them were sent to the MKCG MCH as their health conditions were reported critical.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
