In this crucial phase, many high-profile candidates will test their fate. One of them is lone Odia candidate Purandar Mishra who is contesting in Raipur north constituency as BJP candidate. Purandar  fights against Congress candidate Kuldeep Juneeja, who is the sitting MLA.

Mishra is going around the localities and campaigning for votes. As Raipur north seat is dominated by Odia people, he is hopeful of winning the seat this time.

It is worth mentioning that Mishra has built Lord Jagannath temple in Gayatri Nagar in this constituency. Recently, he has been unanimously elected as President of Greater Odia Samaj which represents 35 lakh Odia inhabitants in the state. Earlier, Purandar was associated with Congress during Chief Minister Ajit Jogi's tenure.
