Sundargarh, Aug 17: In a shocking incident three persons including a woman were critically injured after a security guard’s gun went off accidentally. The incident occurred in a Village haat in Rajgangpur of the district on Thursday.

The injured have been identified as MD Ilias, Sita Lakra and Anurag Tanti.

According to the information, the security guard who has been identified as Ranjit Kumar was on escort duty and had accompanied a private bank’s cash management vehicle for the loading of cash at the ATM. However, his gun went off accidentally and injured the three persons who had come for the weekly haat.

Soon after the incident, the trio sustained critical injuries and rushed to the government hospital in Rourkela.
