Boudh, Sep 2: Three including a woman were killed and three others sustained severe injuries in lightning strike as rain with thunderstorm and lightning lashed several districts of the state.
A woman who has been identified as Paneswari Poda of Routbahal village of Boudh district died in lighting strike. As per reports, Poda had gone to his farmland yesterday and did not return home. Worried about her whereabouts, family members launched a frantic search and found her lying in the farmland. She was rushed to nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead.
Similarly, a minor boy was killed in Kadambajhula village of Tangi and another man was killed in Aranga village of Tangi in lighting strike.
