Balasore, Jan 2: The body of three-year-old Subham, who had gone missing yesterday, was discovered in a pond close to his residence on Tuesday. Subham, son of Mohan Sahi of Raipur village of the district, went missing while playing with his seven-year-old sister at the backyard of their house. Despite extensive searches by the family and villagers at various locations, including ponds, railway stations, and bus stands, but could not found the kid.
Concerned about the situation, a formal complaint was filed with the Soro police, prompting them to initiate a search operation with the assistance of sniffer dogs. Additionally, the fire brigade conducted a thorough search of the village pond, suspecting a possible drowning.
Unfortunately, the child's body was ultimately found in a pond near his house a day after the search efforts commenced.
Meanwhile, family members of the toddler have alleged that the baby was thrown into the pond after the murder. However, the exact cause of his death will be ascertained after the post-mortem.
