New Delhi, January 20: Gold prices have surged past the Rs 1.5 lakh per 10-gram mark in the national capital, climbing by Rs 5,100 due to strong demand in both domestic and international markets, as reported by the All India Sarafa Association.

The price of 99.9% pure gold reached Rs 1,53,200 per 10 grams (including taxes), up from the previous closing of Rs 1,48,100 per 10 grams.

Since the start of 2026, gold has risen by Rs 15,500, marking an 11.2% increase from Rs 1,37,700 per 10 grams at the close of 2025.

Simultaneously, silver prices have soared to a historic Rs 3.23 lakh per kilogram, driven by global market uncertainties.
