Bhubaneswar, January 28: The Navnirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS) has announced an eight-hour Odisha bandh on Wednesday, January 28, from 6 am to 2 pm, protesting issues like paddy procurement irregularities, heavy fines under the Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC) system, and alleged unfair actions by Tata Power over electricity tariffs.

The bandh aims to address the difficulties faced by farmers and the public due to administrative failures and rising costs. While normal life is expected to be disrupted, emergency services will remain unaffected.

The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has pledged support, with President Bhakta Charan Das directing district committees to participate peacefully in the protest.
