PM Modi champions ethical technology growth through human collaboration

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently addressed the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. During his speech, he shared a fresh perspective on the fast-paced world of artificial intelligence. He introduced the MANAV vision, a guiding framework designed to keep emerging technology ethical, safe, and entirely focused on human welfare.

Modi explained that the word MANAV literally translates to human. However, he broke the term down into five specific pillars to guide future tech policies. First, the letter 'M' represents moral and ethical systems, meaning smart technology must follow strong ethical rules. Next, 'A' stands for accountable governance. This requires clear laws and strict oversight for tech companies. The letter 'N' highlights national sovereignty, ensuring that citizens maintain full rights over their personal data. The second 'A' stands for accessible and inclusive growth. Modi stressed that technology should act as a multiplier for everyone instead of becoming a monopoly for a few wealthy nations. Finally, 'V' means valid and legitimate. This rule ensures that all systems operate within lawful boundaries.

This MANAV vision will play a massive role in shaping AI development in India. During his address, Modi warned against treating human beings merely as data points for machines. He argued strongly for the democratization of smart systems. By sharing this technology fairly across borders, nations can achieve genuine Global South empowerment and uplift their citizens.

Just like a GPS helps a driver navigate a journey, artificial systems should guide us while we keep our hands firmly on the steering wheel. Modi used this exact comparison to explain how humanity must retain ultimate control. We can give technology an open sky to operate, but human beings must always make the final decisions.

Many young people following Odisha tech news or wondering about the local AI impact in Bhubaneswar often worry about robots taking over their jobs. Modi directly addressed these concerns regarding the Artificial Intelligence future. He reminded the audience that the early days of the internet sparked very similar fears. Yet, the internet ended up creating millions of entirely new career paths.

He believes the exact same pattern will happen again. We are entering a collaborative era where intelligent systems and humans work side by side. Ultimately, tech growth for youth is not something to fear but a massive new opportunity. Stay tuned to Prameya tech updates as India aims to lead the world in creating technology that truly serves humanity.
