Kandhamal, Nov 19: In a tragic incident, a 4-year child died in Kandhamal on Wednesday as a plastic toy was clung in his throat while churning puffed food.

The incident took place in the Daringbadi area this morning.

The deceased is identified as Bigil Pradhan, a boy of the Kusuusumahapada village under the Brahmanigaon Police limit in Odisha’s Kandhamal district.

According to reports, Bigil was eating puffed chips in the morning. Meanwhile, a plastic toy, packed in the chips packet for sales-promotion, stuck to his throat. As he complained of nasal congestion and breathing distress, he was rushed to the Daringbadi Hospital for resuscitation.However, the child lost his life before the doctors prepare to pull the foreign element out of his throat.
