​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Jan 25: In another case of gullible cheating, a woman was arrested in Bhubaneswar on Saturday for allegedly duping of large sums from the loan seekers.

The woman who hails from the Keonjhar district was extracting amounts from bank account holders promising easy loans.

The accused is Binodini Nayak, who used to pose herself as an Official of the Labour department.

According to police, the accused collected at least Rs 30 lakh from residents of the Parasibadi area under Kaptipada police limits in Mayurbhanj by claiming to be a Labour Department official and assuring them easy loans. However, she fled after the receiving the amounts from the loan seekers.

Based on a complaint lodged by one Santosh Kumar Pati, the Kaptipada Police registered a case in this case & arrested the woman who was hiding at the Hanspal area in Bhubaneswar.
