Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the upcoming India–South Africa T20 match scheduled to be played at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on December 9, the Odisha Cricket Association officials on Sunday have announced that only 2,000 tickets will be sold online on December 1, while 10000 offline ticket sales at Barabati Stadium counters will begin on December 5. A total of 23,000 tickets will be put up for sale, while 18,400 complimentary passes will be issued.

Speaking to the media, the OCA Secretary said that preparations for the T20 match are almost complete, with a few remaining tasks expected to be finished in the next couple of days. He also stated that earlier the total seating capacity of Barabati Stadium was 44,524, in view of the safety and comfort for the spectators the setting capacity has been reduced to 42,000.

As per the OCA release, the ticket price has been fixed between Rs 700 and Rs 20,000. The ticket price for gallery no. 1, 3 and 7 will be Rs 1,100 and Rs 700 respectively. For gallery no. 2 and 4, the ticket price has been fixed at Rs 900. One will have to pay Rs 1,200 for a seat in gallery no. 5.

Similarly, spectators will be charged Rs 6,000 for the special enclosure of the stadium. They can watch the cricket match from the AC gallery box by paying Rs 8,000 as the ticket price.

The price for the New Pavilion has been fixed at Rs 10,000 while one can get a ticket for the corporate box by paying Rs 20,000.

To avoid the untoward incident that occurred during the last international match held at Barabati Stadium, each floodlight tower will be connected with two DG sets with changeover and two more DG sets will be for standby, added Behera.
