Bhubaneswar, Jan 21: A tragic road accident involving a Thar and a Bullet motorcycle occurred near Capital Hospital Square on Wednesday, claiming the life of a young man and leaving two others seriously injured.

According to sources, the Thar rammed into the Bullet with great force, causing the rider to be crushed under the SUV’s wheels, leading to his death on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Raja Pedini of Old Town. Of the two injured, one was shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for advanced medical care, while the other is being treated at Capital Hospital.

Police seized the Thar SUV and the accident-hit Bullet and launched an investigation into the incident. The Capital Police are also scanning CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to trace those responsible and determine the exact cause of the accident.

The incident has once again triggered concerns over reckless driving and traffic safety in the state capital.
