Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: In a bid to unveil the mystery shrouded over the Odisha Police SI scam, the Crime Branch is set to conduct polygraph test of the mastermind identified as Shankar Prusti.

The sleuths decided to conduct the polygraph examination in order to tally prusti’s statements recorded earlier during the police remand with that of  the lie detector’s revelation.

According to officials, Prusti has put the sleuths in a mess with his misleading and ever-changing statements on the high-profile job fraud.

Denying all allegations leveled against him, based on the statements of the other accused  associated with the fraud, Shankar is attempting to avoid the queries.

With a frantic attempt to evade legal action, he is reportedly pleading his ignorance with the matter and absolutely denying any connivance in the SI recruitment kickback.

With no significant lead and the utter non-cooperation from the alleged mastermind,Prusti, the sleuths have decided to go for his polygraph, that will essentially guide them to lead the case move forward.

Worth mentioning, Shankar who was nabbed a couple of days ago from Uttarakhand near the Indo-Nepal border, is currently in judicial remand.

The schedule of the polygraph test is not yet made public by the probing agency that’s the Crime wing of the Odisha Police.
