Cuttack, Feb 24: Authorities of Shailabala Women’s College have adopted a strict stance amid the ongoing agitation demanding university status for the institution. Acting on directions from the district administration, media personnel were denied entry into the college premises on Tuesday.

Police forces were deployed outside the main gate, and barricades were erected to maintain law and order.

Meanwhile, a discussion between the district administration and the agitating students is scheduled to take place on Tuesday. The students’ protest seeking university recognition has entered its 33rd day.
