Bhubaneswar, February 24:The Odisha government has confirmed that the upcoming three-tier panchayat elections will take place as planned in February 2027.

This statement was made by Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister, Rabi Narayan Naik, in response to a query raised by BJD member Ganeswar Behera during the Assembly session today.

"The government has not made any decision to advance the Panchayat elections ahead of the scheduled time in February 2027," the minister clarified.
