PUBG addiction: 20-year-old commits suicide after being stopped from playing game in Odisha

Bhadrak, Aug 18: A 20-year-old youth of Panijaria village under Chandabali police limits in Bhadrak district has reportedly committed suicide after his uncle allegedly scolded him for playing PUBG Mobile and took away his mobile phone. According to reports, the youth was working at a prawn farm in Dhamara area in the district after returning to Odisha following the Covid-19 pandemic. The youth was addicted to PUBG game and used to spend most of time in playing the game and his uncle often scolded him for spending all his free time playing the mobile game. On Sunday, his uncle snatched his mobile phone. He did his entire job at the prawn farm on Monday as nothing had happened and later, hanged himself with a rope. Others engaged at the firm spotted his hanging and rescued. He was rushed to Basudevpur Hospital where the attending doctor declared him dead.
